Lancelot Imasuen Siad Over $1m Spent On The Film 1897 Invasion Of Benin Kingdom
OVER one million dollar ($1m) was said to have been expended on the film “1897 Invasion of Benin Kingdom” by the Europeans
.
Speaking while on a courtesy visit to the heir apparent to the Benin Kingdom, Crown Prince Eheneden Erediauwa on Thursday, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen who is the initiator and director of the film said a total of one thousand (1,000) notable actors and actresses from across the country participated in the movie.
The ace Nollywood producer who said the film is expected to be premiered in Benin City in May 2014 however thanked the Crown Prince for his support both financially and morally towards the success of the film production.
In a brief remark, the Crown Prince Ehenden Erediauwa commended Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen for his effort in promoting the Benin race through his film and movies.
The Crown Prince therefore called on all indigenes of Edo State irrespective of their political affiliations to support the promotion of the Benin race.
